Born in Manchester, England, I was brought up in Leicestershire, graduated from the University of Hull (BMus), and lived briefly near London, before returning to Manchester, which has always been my spiritual home. I'm passionate about music, film, reading, food, and sports (particularly soccer, rugby and cricket).
